For County Durham Artist Jayne Parker Johnson, art is about well-being. Enjoying the process of creating, expressing and communicating ideas relating to modern life through visual artwork.
In 2005 after graduating BA Honours Textile Crafts at University of Huddersfield, Jayne continued to study at Masters level to achieve MA in Glass from the University of Sunderland. Over the last 12 years Jayne has continued her art practice, trained and established a reputation as an outstanding tutor.
Alongside her own practice, creating artwork for exhibitions and commissions, Jayne works as a Community Arts Wellbeing Tutor. Having developed strong professional relationships with a number of local arts organisations, Jayne works freelance as a lead artist on large Community Arts Projects across the North East.
Jayne’s unique skill set and wealth of experience allows her to be commissioned to work on a wide variety of projects delivering high quality art work in a variety of media.
