Well what a busy month! New studio (pics coming soon) and a new job but still found time to start a new little winter painting and print collection. I’ve turned my Etsy shop back out of holiday mode and I’m revving it up for Christmas. Why not have a browse and check out my new listings!

I love painting and creating, but what I love more is when I get to see where they end up!
Each artwork I sell goes off on a journey. Some find a home on a nursery wall or in a living room. Some have headed off to Portugal, America, Al Ain in UAE. It is inspiring to hear the story about the connection each customer has with the artwork and why they chose that particular piece. It really is amazing!
Soooo Excited! Today I’ve finally opened my Etsy shop JayPeaStudio.
I’ve uploaded my new bright, spring collection of original paintings and Giclee Prints.
Please take a look and leave a comment
Thank you lovely peeps xxxx
I love the challenges that come with a commission. It often pushes you out of your comfort zone and forces you to try something new.
Scary as it is, there is nothing more exciting. But it can all go horribly wrong!! What if they don’t like it?
I go with the flow, send pictures and updates as the piece progresses. I always have the attitude “I’ll give it a go”
Tonight I’m working on a piece which is definitely a far cry from my usual work. Halo! Master chief.
‘Don’t touch!’, ‘those are mammy’s pencils’, ‘mammy is working’ are all things I often hear myself saying to the little hands reaching and eager to create.
It’s important to make time for ‘messy time’. So today that is exactly what we did.
We set out my 3 year olds own paint palette and art equipment and just played. Not to create anything in particular, just the sheer fun of creativity and exploration. I learned so much!
I often find I get sooo wrapped up in ‘adult world’ that I forget why I started to paint in the first place.
Watch this blog as I’m going to be researching and trying out toddler friendly art activities. Let’s have some fun! 😉
